YORK COUNTY – Authorities in York County made an arrest after a Sunday morning stabbing. Around 6:45 a.m., Spring Garden Township Police responded to J&K Salvage at 1099 Kings Mill Road in York. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim, a 64-year-old male employee. The victim told officers that an unknown man, later identified as 29-year-old Dale Martin Jr. of no fixed address, was seen milling around the business wearing the uniform of a known fellow employee. The victim made contact with Martin and asked him who he was and where he worked. At that time, Martin suddenly brandished a folding knife and stabbed the victim several times. Another employee witnessed the attack and physically interceded, causing Martin to flee. The victim sustained minor injuries, but refused treatment from EMS. Around 3:03 p.m., police were checking the area around J&K Salvage for the suspect when they were alerted that Martin had possibly returned to the business. Officers located Martin in a shed on the property where he was arrested without incident. It was determined that the uniform Martin was wearing during the attack had been stolen from the business.
