YORK – York County Rep. Seth Grove announced he will not seek a 10th term to represent the 196th Legislative District. The Republican said while this opportunity bestowed upon him 17 years ago has been one of the greatest honors of his life, it is time to step aside and close this chapter. First elected in 2008, Grove hit the ground running, introducing 48 bills in his first term alone. Over his nine terms, he introduced over 350 bills, 22 of which were signed into law and three vetoed. Grove chaired four key committees: Labor and Industry, Appropriations, State Government, and Government Oversight – the last of which was established through his own initiative with House Bill 2026 of 2018. Grove is a leading voice for conservative values, championing gun rights, the sanctity of life, school choice, election integrity, tax reform and the principles of government accountability and transparency.
