YORK COUNTY – The York County Coroner’s office reports that a man died in a Wednesday afternoon accident on Interstate 83. According to State Police, 67-year-old Brad Heckelman of Cumberland County, who was the sole occupant, was southbound in the left lane just before exit 28 at about 4:40 p.m. when the vehicle veered suddenly, crossing both lanes of traffic before traveling up an embankment and hitting a tree. Heckelman died at the scene. No other vehicles were involved. The death has been ruled as accidental.
