LANCASTER COUNTY – A Lancaster County woman charged with killing two people in a fiery crash will have her case proceed to county court. 51-year-old Beth Fife of East Earl Township stipulated to the facts the Commonwealth alleged she committed in an affidavit of probable cause last week before a judge. The stipulation means that Fife agreed the state had sufficient evidence to meet the burden of proof at a preliminary hearing, but still had the judge formally rule on whether or not there was sufficient evidence for the case to proceed to court. Fife was westbound on West 28th Division Highway in Penn Township when she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into an eastbound car shortly before noon on Dec. 1, 2023. The other vehicle’s occupants, Allen English and Grace English-Rohrer, were killed. An investigation found that Fife was traveling nearly 40 mph above the posted speed limit. Fife is free on $300,000 unsecured bail.
