HARRISBURG – Gov. Tom Wolf is urging lawmakers to quickly pass legislation to protect PA homeowners and renters from eviction. He’s asking lawmakers to pass a bill to extend the moratorium on evictions and foreclosures for an extended period of time – 90 days or longer. He also wants lawmakers to provide financial relief to homeowners and renters by improving the CARES ACT Rent Relief Program. The moratorium expired Aug. 31 and the state’s Emergency Services Code does not allow the governor to provide further relief.
