LANCASTER – A charge of third-degree homicide has been filed against a Lancaster man already charged with aggravated assault and simple assault after beating a man on September 1. The homicide charge was filed after an autopsy report released by the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office on October 13, 2021, found the cause of 36-year-old Brandon Schweers’ death to be multiple traumatic injuries and the manner of death to be homicide. On September 1, 2021, around 7:00 a.m., Lancaster City Bureau of Police responded to a report of a stabbing on the 500 block of Pearl Street. Officers spoke with the victim upon arriving who told them his body hurt all over and he had difficulty breathing. Officers observed physical injuries to the head and knee. The victim told police Aaron Robertson, 33, of the 100 block of Pearl Street, was responsible and that he had pepper spray and a knife. The victim was transported to the hospital via ambulance for treatment but died shortly after arrival. Robertson admitted to Lancaster City Detectives he engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical with Schweers. He also admitted to striking the victim in the head and taking a knife and pepper spray to the victim’s house.
