LANCASTER – A flood watch is now in effect through this evening. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Rainfall rates could exceed 3 inches per hour where several storms track east-southeast across the region A heat advisory has been also issued for our region from 11 a.m. through 8 p.m. today. Heat index values up to 102 degrees are expected. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat-related illnesses. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun, and stay in an air-conditioned area.
