LANCASTER – Lancaster Police are investigating two separate shootings. Shortly before 3 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, officers were dispatched to a residence on the 500 block of S. Pearl Street. On arrival, police located an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers rendered immediate aid to the victim before being transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. While officers were still responding to the first incident, a second shooting was reported in the area of the 600 block of Saint Joseph Street. An adult female victim was found at a nearby residence with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. While the two incidents occurred just minutes apart, it does not appear at this time that the two assaults are related.
