HARRISBURG – Two state senators plan to introduce legislation to legalize recreational marijuana in the Keystone State. Republican Erie County Sen. Dan Laughlin and Democrat Sen. Sharif Street of Philadelphia say regulating it can improve public safety and better prevent minors from getting it, while raising money for the state treasury and boosting the economy. Under the bill, recreational marijuana would be permitted for adults 21 and older and marketing towards children would be prohibited. Gov. Tom Wolf supports the legalization.
