HARRISBURG – The PA Senate confirmed Shawn Long and Karen Mansfield to serve as judges on the Lancaster County Common Pleas Court. Vacancies are filled by candidates who are first nominated by the governor, confirmed by the Senate, and then finally appointed to their post by the governor. As a private practice attorney specializing in bankruptcy cases, Long served six years in the Marine Corps and four years as a counselor in the juvenile justice system. Mansfield served most recently at the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office where she’s served as Assistant District Attorney since 2005. Both candidates must now be finally appointed by Gov. Wolf to their new posts.
