HERSHEY – A 9-year-old child lost their life at the Boardwalk at Hersheypark yesterday afternoon. A statement from John Lawn, CEO of Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company said, “From the moment their lifeguard team recognized a child was in distress, they performed an immediate rescue.” The Boardwalk at Hersheypark is a water park. The child was rushed to Hershey Medical Center where they later died. The identity of the child has not been released. Lawn added that they will conduct a thorough internal review and cooperate fully with authorities.
