LANCASTER – Three people were charged after a 16-year-old juvenile allegedly consumed alcohol and marijuana at a residence before being found intoxicated and alone along a road in Manheim Township, Lancaster County. On June 25 around 11:20 p.m., police responded to the first block of Riverside Avenue in Lancaster Township for a domestic incident. An investigation revealed that the juvenile had been at a home occupied by Miguel DeJesus, Amarillis “Lily” Perez, and Daniel Santiago, where alcohol was consumed throughout the evening and provided to the juvenile. The group later smoked marijuana. Later in the evening, the juvenile left in a pickup truck driven by a relative. At some point, the juvenile was left along York Road and Lititz Pike in Manheim Township. When found by police, the juvenile was alone, visibly intoxicated, and in need of medical attention. EMS took him to Lancaster General for treatment. Lab tests showed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.154%, nearly twice the legal limit. As a result of the investigation, DeJesus, Perez, and Santiago were each charged with Endangering the Welfare of Children and Selling or Furnishing Liquor or Malt or Brewed Beverages to Minors.
