HARRISBURG – While efforts to approve recreational marijuana in PA for now have not advanced, the battle to get it legalized will continue. While Gov. Josh Shapiro talked about the revenue from such legalization, some state senators tried to advance Senate Bill 120 which would have legalized recreational use and would have stripped away local control of pot shops. PA Family Institute Chief Strategy Officer, Dan Bartkowiak says no government should encourage recreational use of today’s commercialized, high-potency THC products. Such products are getting individuals, and especially young people, addicted and affecting their mental and physical health.
