EAST HEMPFIELD TWP. – Lancaster County authorities responded to a terroristic threat made at Kellogg’s at 2050 State Road where workers are on strike. Yesterday around 3:30 p.m., police received word that someone called the company and advised that a shooting would occur within 15 minutes, targeting temporary workers at the facility. Officers arrived and were posted at all entrances to the property ensuring that the location was safe. Enhanced security measures are being taken and the origin of the phone call is actively under investigation. Workers at the cereal plant have been on strike since October. They recently rejected a contract offer made by the company.
