HARRISBURG – A new Lancaster County state senator has been sworn into office. Democrat James Malone was the winner of a special election in the 36th Senatorial District. He is filling in the remaining term of Republican Ryan Aument, who left the state Senate to serve on the staff for PA U.S. Sen. David McCormick. Malone, the former Mayor of East Petersburg, defeated Republican Josh Parsons and Libertarian Zachary Moore in a March 25 special election.
