HARRISBURG – The PA Attorney General’s Office is highlighting actions and initiatives aimed at protecting and supporting PA students as they head back to school. Attorney General Dave Sunday highlighted last week’s landmark settlement with Meta – which addressed the addictiveness of Meta platforms – and lawsuits with similar allegations recently filed against Snapchat and TikTok. He also shared the success of last year’s teenTALK program, a series of chats with PA students, and introduced some new programming from the office. Sunday said today’s young people are growing up in a world shaped by technology, AI, and social media, presenting both transformational opportunities and significant risks. No matter how technology evolves, we know that kids still need meaningful human connection, trusted relationships, a sense of belonging, and supportive environments that help build the confidence and resilience to navigate life’s challenges. The Attorney General’s Office has a wide range of resources available to schools through multiple sections. The Office of Public Engagement has several different presentations that schools and other entities can request. The Child Predator Section will also hold training for schools in partnership with the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children in the coming weeks.
