HARRISBURG – PHEAA is encouraging PA students planning to enroll in a community college, a designated PA Open-Admission institution, a business, trade, or technical school, a hospital school of nursing, or a 2-year program that is not transferable to another institution to submit their FAFSA form by August 1 to be considered for a PA State Grant award. The PA State Grant Program uses the FAFSA as its primary application point to determine student eligibility for a state grant. Once the FAFSA is submitted, students needing to complete the PA State Grant application items, or supply any supplemental documents will have until the academic year student reconsideration deadline of April 1, 2026, for the 2025-26 award year.
