LANCASTER – Lancaster Police are investigating a stabbing. Officers responded Saturday, Jan. 9 around 8:57 p.m.to the area of Garden Court Apartments. Police were told that a person that had been stabbed had left the area in a private vehicle. While police were assessing the scene at Garden Court, they were informed that a 26-year-old male with stab wounds had just arrived at LGH. Initial information gathered at the scene was that a 30-year-old male was driving when he noticed that his ex-wife’s current boyfriend was following him in a vehicle. The driver attempted to elude his pursuer, but was unable to do so. The driver stopped in a parking area at the apartments. The pursuer approached the vehicle on foot with several other people, opened the vehicle door and began to assault the driver with his hands and fists. The driver grabbed a knife that was inside his vehicle and stabbed the pursuer several times, ending the assault. The pursuer was admitted to the hospital and underwent surgery for his injuries.
