COLUMBIA – Police in Columbia, Lancaster County, are investigating two unconfirmed reports of shots fired on Friday night and early Saturday morning. In the first, a resident heard what he believed to be a single shot in the area of 2nd and Cherry Street at 8:05 p.m. The second which occurred around 2:30 a.m. had two people hearing what they thought to be several shots in rapid succession near the 800 block of Chestnut Street.
