LANCASTER COUNTY – One person died and another is in critical condition after a shooting yesterday morning in Quarryville, Lancaster County. Authorities responded to a residence in the 100 block of E. State Street for a domestic dispute and discovered a deceased man and a woman injured from gunshot wounds. State Police reported that the man, 34-year-old Marcus Taltoan, had shot the woman before taking his own life. The 30-year-old woman, who was hospitalized, was not identified by authorities. Police say this was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact PSP-Lancaster at 717-299-7650. On May 17, Taltoan broke into the residence occupied by his estranged wife through a locked kitchen window. She summoned police for assistance, during that time she repeatedly asked him to leave, but he refused to leave and or allow her to leave the residence. Taltoan was later arrested in that incident.
