EAST LAMPETER TOWNSHIP – Police in Lancaster County responded to a shooting that happened at 1:30 p.m. yesterday at the Budget Host Inn at 2140 Lincoln Hwy East. Officers arrived and found a 16-year-old female in a second-floor room with a gunshot wound to her leg. Officers provided first-aid and the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Although her injuries were serious, they are not believed to be life threatening. The victim’s name was not released. An initial investigation determined that two male suspects fired multiple rounds from handguns into the closed door of the motel room and fled prior to police arrival. It is not yet known if the victim was specifically targeted; however, police do not believe that the public is in immediate danger. East Lampeter Township Police are continuing their investigation.
