MANHEIM TOWNSHIP – Lancaster County authorities arrested a man involved in numerous burglaries in several PA counties. On Nov. 3, 2021, Manheim Township Police responded to 5 daytime burglaries in the Cobblestone Lane area. In each burglary, the suspect forced entry, ransacked the home, and stole jewelry, money, and collectibles. The investigation resulted in identifying 45-year-old Francisco Cartagena and a co-conspirator as perpetrating the crimes. Further investigation linked additional burglaries to Cartagena that occurred in York, Cumberland, Dauphin, Berks, Montgomery, and Bucks Counties as well as Burlington County, New Jersey. 26 daytime burglaries were linked to Cartagena, who was subsequently arrested outside of his home in Collingdale, Delaware County. A search warrant was executed and many stolen items were recovered. It was agreed that all charges from other counties should be consolidated and prosecuted in Lancaster County by Manheim Township Police. Cartagena is currently incarcerated in Lancaster County Prison.
