HARRISBURG − Ryan’s Law, a law designed to ensure that terminally ill patients may access medically authorized, non‑inhaled forms of medical cannabis within licensed healthcare facilities achieved a major legislative milestone this week as the Senate Law & Justice Committee voted unanimously to advance the bill.
This safeguard allows patients to remain more awake, aware, and connected to their loved ones, preserving meaningful final moments that heavy sedation often takes away.
“Medical cannabis is not a theory or an experiment. It is already a proven treatment that thousands of patients rely on every day to ease pain, nausea, anxiety, and the devastating symptoms of terminal illness,” said Senator John I. Kane.
The committee’s unanimous vote signals clear momentum as the bill continues through the legislative process.
