LANCASTER COUNTY – Police in Lancaster County responded to a school bus accident yesterday at 9:20 a.m. at West Sun Hill Road near the railroad tracks in Penn Township. Initial reports indicated several suspected injuries to students onboard. However, upon arrival, Northern Lancaster County Regional Police found that the situation was not as initially reported. The school bus, carrying Warwick students on a field trip, took a wrong turn and attempted to turn around. During the maneuver, the bus scraped and struck a large boulder, causing a sudden jolt to the occupants. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries and the bus sustained no damage. As a precautionary measure, the students were transferred to a second bus to continue their journey.
