HARRISBURG – A resolution designating the month of June as Cancer Survivors Recognition Month has been adopted by the PA Senate. The measure was originally championed by the late Sen. Dave Arnold of Lebanon County, who passed away last January after a battle with brain cancer. Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman noted that almost everyone has been touched by the difficulties and evils of cancer. Corman said his father lost his battle to kidney cancer in December 2019 and his sister has been battling breast cancer for the last 20+ years. The Corman resolution not only recognizes the difficulty of living through cancer, but life after cancer.
