YORK – An inferno took the life of a 66-year-old man York County man in Newberry Township Monday morning. After a neighbor of the man reported the residential fire to authorities, the fire department found the residence to be fully involved when they arrived, and reported a fatality to the York County Coroner. The coroner was dispatched to the scene at 9:23am, and pronounced the man dead at 9:58am. The man’s identify has not yet been released by the coroner. The Newberry Township Police immediately began an investigation into the blaze with assistance from the North York County Regional Police Fire Investigator.
