LANCASTER – A memorial service will be held this afternoon for former WDAC General Manager & Co-Owner, Paul Hollinger, who went home to be with the Lord last Saturday at the age of 91. The service will be held at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster today at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service. As a Moody Bible Institute graduate studying to be a pastor and trained in broadcast sales, Paul was approached by the family of Percy Crawford to manage their Lancaster County station. He told them he would manage the station temporarily, but said he managed the station temporarily for many years. Paul became a co-owner of WDAC Radio Company in 1981 and saw tremendous expansion of the station through the early 2000’s. Hollinger served in Christian radio for 53 years starting at WMBI in Chicago, WEZN in Elizabethtown, and then WDAC in 1961.
