HARRISBURG – Sen. David Argall of Berks & Schuylkill Counties reacted to the Governor’s announcement of restaurants reducing to 25% capacity. He said rising numbers of COVID-19 cases in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia does not mean the Governor should hurt restaurant employees in Sinking Springs, Womelsdorf, and Shenandoah. Argall added that Wolf continues to “act like King Tom the First” and this could be the final stake in the heart for many small business employers and thousands of employees across PA. PA Chamber of Business and Industry President Gene Barr said while we need to implement mitigation tactics that will control the COVID-19 spread, the announcement is another setback for businesses that have taken considerable actions to safely welcome back employees and customers. Rather than place further restrictions, Barr said enforcement action should be utilized against those refusing to comply with safety protocols.
