HARRISBURG (AP) – Questions remain unanswered as to what PA Senate Republicans can accomplish from what they call a “forensic investigation” into last year’s election now that they have hired a contractor without any experience in elections. Senate Republicans hired Iowa-based Envoy Sage under a $270,000 contract to help carry out the undertaking. In a conference call with reporters, the president of Envoy Sage, Steve Lahr said the company could hire people or subcontractors with expertise, if necessary. Republican-controlled committees in both the state House and Senate have already held hearings and produced reports, as well as legislation opposed by Democrats.
