HARRISBURG – With reliable internet now more of a necessity, Fayette County Rep. Pam Snyder plans to introduce a measure to use funds from the American Rescue Plan to provide broadband access to all residents. Snyder said even before the pandemic occurred, residents across PA have struggled with reliable access to broadband. With our increasingly digital world, it’s imperative that students, workers, and local businesses can connect. Snyder’s measure would place $500 million from PA’s share of American Rescue Plan funds into the Unserved High-Speed Broadband Funding Program to fund broadband expansion efforts in unserved and underserved areas across the state.
