HARRISBURG – All vehicles registered in PA would be required to display a license plate on both the front and rear under a proposal coming from Sen. Katie Muth of Berks, Chester, & Montgomery Counties. The Democrat says far too often there are hit-and-run accidents, traffic incidents or crimes committed where only the front of a vehicle is captured by cameras or seen by witnesses. Requiring a license plate on the front of a car will improve vehicle identification and enhance public safety by helping law enforcement to quickly identify a vehicle. Currently, 29 other states in the nation require a license plate on both the front and rear of all vehicles. Muth is circulating a co-sponsorship memo seeking support of her proposal.
