PEQUEA TOWNSHIP – Police in Lancaster County say they have identified a woman believed to be responsible for an arson incident at the West Willow Fire Company polling location at 192 West Willow Road. A white female in her 20’s was seen lighting or attempting to light several small fires in the building. She then fled the building and left the scene in a grey Ford Focus coupe. Persons in the polling location smelled smoke and noticed the fire and were able to extinguish it immediately. There was no major damage, no injuries, and no disruption to voting. Police say the woman will be formally charged and arraigned following her release from an area medical facility. At that time, they will release her name, charges, and arraignment information. There is no danger to the community at this time. Police thank the public for their assistance in the investigation.
