LANCASTER – Lancaster Police have a person of interest in connection with a pedestrian hit and run accident that occurred October 29th around 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of W. Chestnut and N. Prince Streets. 66-year-old Dr. Steven Killough of Lancaster Township, an area pediatrician, was injured as a result of the crash and taken to a local hospital. He died from his injuries on November 12th. At the time of the crash, the driver of a white GMC Savana work van initially stopped, got out, and helped Killough out of the roadway. He then returned to the vehicle and fled the scene. The vehicle was identified and surveillance footage captured the license plate. So far, no charges have been filed. Police are coordinating with the Lancaster County District Attorney’s office on the investigation. Any witnesses to the crash are asked to contact Lancaster Police at 717 735-3301.
