HARRISBURG – PennDOT Secretary Yassmin Gramian announced that it now offers a non-binary gender designation option for its driver licenses and photo ID cards. Gov. Tom Wolf said protecting LGBTQ Pennsylvanians has been a cornerstone of his administration and implementing a non-binary designation is an important step to affirming the identities of transgendered and gender non-binary Pennsylvanians. Gender designation options on PA driver’s licenses and photo ID cards are “M” (male), “F” (female) or “X” (non-binary). Pennsylvania joins 16 other states in offering a non-binary option for its customers.
