HARRISBURG – Vice President Mike Pence and former Vice President Joe Biden campaigned in PA on Thursday. Pence landed at Lancaster Airport, then headed on a bus tour to a fundraiser in Manheim, Lancaster County, followed by a visit to a Chester County company to talk about businesses making it through the COVID-19 pandemic. Pence then visited and spoke to Philadelphia police officers before a “Back the Blue” rally. Biden’s visit to northeastern PA focused on the economy. He introduced a New Deal-like economic agenda while drawing a sharp contrast with President Trump saying he has abandoned working-class Americans amid cascading crises. Biden presented details of a comprehensive agenda that he touted as the most aggressive government investment in the U.S. economy since World War II. He also accused Trump of ignoring the coronavirus pandemic and the climate crisis while encouraging division amid a national reckoning with systemic racism.
