WASHINGTON, DC – PA U.S. Senators Pat Toomey and Bob Casey gave different reactions to the U.S. Senate passage of for $1.9 trillion spending bill. Republican Toomey was critical of $270 million for the National Endowment of the Arts and Humanities and $50 million for environmental justice grants. He said there is no justification for this bill. This isn’t about coming together and doing something about a crisis. This is about a partisan, left-wing wish list. Democrat Casey said with the passage of the bill, the country is one step closer to putting the virus behind us. He added we will put more money in the pockets of working families, help our children return to school safely, and ensure everyone who wants to can be vaccinated.
