WASHINGTON, DC – PA U.S. Senators Pat Toomey and Bob Casey applauded the U.S. House passing legislation to name the U.S. Courthouse in Harrisburg in honor of Judge Sylvia Rambo. The Senators introduced companion legislation, which passed the Senate in October 2021 that would designate the new federal Courthouse in Harrisburg as the “Sylvia H. Rambo United States Courthouse.” The bill will now go to the President for his signature. The courthouse is expected to open later this year. Since her tenure as chief judge, Judge Rambo has advocated tirelessly for the planning, construction, and funding of the new federal courthouse building in Harrisburg.
