HARRISBURG – PA gun owners joined with state lawmakers at the state Capitol in Harrisburg for this year’s Rally to Protect Your Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Lebanon County Rep. Frank Ryan, who was one lawmaker who spoke to the crowd, said he and other lawmakers will support the people’s right to keep their arms. Ryan added that the Constitution is the document that governs us and state Supreme Court judges, and they don’t have the right to interpret it with words that are not in that document. The gathering constituted a pep rally, provided an update on the gun lobby’s legislative efforts and on the opposition of gun rights. The annual grassroots event is in support of the Second Amendment and Article 1, Section 21 of the PA Constitution which clearly states: “The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.” Those attending the rally visited state lawmakers afterward urging their support.
