HARRISBURG – PA House Republican leaders have sent a letter to Gov. Josh Shapiro and State Police Commissioner Christopher Paris regarding third-party review of security protocols at the Governor’s Residence following the recent arson attack. They expressed disappointment that a detailed report on how the attack occurred will be received only by the State Police and the Governor’s Office. They are asking that the full report be made available to legislative leaders and the appropriate oversight committees. They say an attack on the Governor’s Residence is an attack on all Pennsylvanians and transparency is required in the situation, especially in providing additional funds or legislation needed to protect state officials and public facilities.
