HARRISBURG – Two PA House Committees have shot down a state budget and mass transit proposal that was approved this week by the PA Senate. The Democrat-controlled House Appropriations Committee rejected the Republican-controlled Senate’s 47.6 billion budget proposal saying it does not adequately fund education and transportation needs. The House Rules Committee rejected the Senate’s mass transit proposal which used funds from the Public Transportation Trust Fund. PA has been without a budget now for 45 days.
