HARRISBURG – PA House Republican legislators gathered at the state Capitol in Harrisburg to discuss legislation and policy initiatives that will have our state divest from Russia and invest in freedom by empowering PA’s energy production. House Majority Leader, Rep. Kerry Benninghoff says the state must get started now. The lawmakers are working to end the natural gas development moratorium within the Delaware River Basin and urge New York and New Jersey to end their states’ policies banning the construction of any new natural gas pipelines. They also want to reform the drilling permit process and provide funding for pipeline development to increase distribution to other parts of the nation and the world. They also call for ending PA’s participation in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative which will significantly increase operating costs for producers and costs to consumers.
