HARRISBURG – The PA House unanimously passed legislation sponsored by Lebanon County Rep. Frank Ryan to freeze Cost of Living Adjustments or COLAs for state government officials through 2021. The pay freeze would include members of the PA General Assembly, the governor, lieutenant governor, treasurer, attorney general, auditor general, the heads of departments, members of boards and commissions, and the judiciary. The House Republican Caucus recently placed a freeze on hiring and froze the salaries of its employees for at least one year. House Bill 2487 now goes to the state Senate for consideration.
