HARRISBURG – A bipartisan group of PA state senators announced the reformation of the Senate Fire & EMS Caucus to address issues and initiatives that support first responders across PA. The legislators noted that in 2018, the SR 6 Commission produced recommendations to improve fire and EMS in the state. Several recommendations from the Commission have been implemented, but many still require action by the legislative and executive branches. Currently, there are 19 senators who have joined as members of the bipartisan Caucus. They plan to meet at least quarterly and will advocate for issues of importance to PA’s first responders.
