HARRISBURG – The Wolf Administration joined Keep PA Beautiful representatives to announce the launch of the statewide anti-litter campaign, “PA Fights Dirty: Every Litter Bit Matters.” PennDOT Secretary Yassmin Gramian says littering drains taxpayer dollars that could be used to maintain roads and bridges across the state. Litter related costs are roughly $350 million per year. PA Fights Dirty was developed as part of the Wolf Administration’s Litter Action Plan and in response to a 2019 Pennsylvania Litter Research Study, which found PA has over 500 million pieces of litter on its roadways. You can learn more about the effort on the PA Fights Dirty webpage.
