HARRISBURG – The PA House advanced a budget bill Monday, 14 days beyond the start of the current fiscal year. House Republican Appropriations Committee Chairman, Indiana County Rep. Jim Struzzi said House Bill 1330 lacks the necessary details to be considered a final product. Struzzi added there are still many details that need to be worked out, which is why he voted “no” on House Bill 1330. He hopes this will eventually lead to a budget compromise that adequately covers our current spending obligations and sets us up for future success. The Democrat-controlled House Appropriations Committee amended the bill earlier in the day, giving House members little to no time to review the changes made before quickly bringing the bill to the House chamber for final consideration. The bill goes to the state Senate for consideration.
