GETTYSBURG – PA State Police say a fugitive from North Carolina was pursued by authorities in Adams County and eventually took his own life. PSP Gettysburg was notified that 24-year-old Taylor Johnson of Raleigh was traveling northbound on Route 15. Johnson was wanted for attempted homicide. Troopers encountered Johnson’s vehicle and tried to stop him, but he fled at a high rate of speed. He crashed his vehicle on Route 234 at the Route 15 northbound off-ramp. Johnson fled on foot into a wooded area. Police set up a perimeter around the wooded area. During a search, officers found that Johnson shot himself and died from a self-inflicted wound.
