EPHRATA – Authorities in Ephrata, Lancaster County, released more information regarding Tuesday night’s fire in the 300 block of W. Main Street. The first arriving police officer and firefighter assisted a resident with pulling his roommate from a smoke-filled first-floor apartment. The resident was transported to Lancaster General for treatment. The fire department was able to contain the fire to the room of origin. Damage to the structure of the house is estimated at $10,000 with most of the contents of the first-floor apartment damaged by smoke. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
