HARRISBURG – The race for PA’s open U.S. Senate seat in next year’s election has gotten several more contenders. Republican Sen. Pat Toomey had announced that he will not run for another term. On the Republican side, Jeff Bartos, the GOP’s unsuccessful candidate for lieutenant governor in 2018, has filed paperwork to run for the seat. Other Republicans making a run include West Chester businessman Everett Stern and Montgomery County attorney Sean Gale. Democrats running for the post include Philadelphia Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta, a 30-year-old in his second term in the state House. Lt. Gov. John Fetterman also announced his candidacy for the Democrat nomination.
