ANNAPOLIS, MD (AP) – Some staffers in Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan’s office have tested positive for COVID-19, but Hogan and Lt. Gov. Boyd Rutherford tested negative. Spokesman Mike Ricci said four members of the governor’s staff tested positive. He noted that all members of the governor’s staff are fully vaccinated. Those who tested positive are quarantining and contact tracing is being conducted. The Maryland Association of Counties announced “several” attendees at the organization’s recent conference in Ocean City tested positive for COVID-19. Both Hogan and Rutherford attended parts of the conference, but Ricci declined to say whether the staff members who tested positive were at the conference.
