HARRISBURGHunters in PA would have an easier way to obtain antlerless deer hunting licenses under legislation passed by the state Senate. Senate Bill 431 would remove county treasurers as the sole provider of antlerless tags and include all sellers authorized by the state Game Commission through the PA Automated Licensing System, including online sales. Currently, hunters apply for antlerless deer licenses by sending an application to a county treasurer. Allowing for the sale of antlerless deer hunting licenses through other means would make it more convenient for hunters. The legislation now heads to the state House for consideration.
